A month ago, my friend who is only 37 years old discovered that she had breast cancer. Last week, she tested positive for The Gene. The gene that’s like, “Ohai! Yeah, your def gonna get more cancer, probably in both boobs. And in your ovaries too, just for good measure, so you should go ahead and get all your lady bits removed now.” What a douchey gene.<\/p>\n

Through all this ridiculous business, she has been a total badass.<\/p>\n

So I made her a little something:<\/p>\n

I started with a design from Subversive Cross-Stitch<\/a> and tweaked it to include woodland creatures AND, as my friend is a CrossFitter, the barbell and kettlebell. Then I found the gaudiest, goldest frame I could find, and voil\u00e0!<\/p>\n

FUCK CANCER.<\/p>\n
